This municipality is located in Wellington County close to Waterloo Region and the municipality of North Perth. Mapleton’s population is mostly rural and agricultural. It’s farmland is very productive. Mapleton also has the hamlets of Drayton, Moorefield and Alma that make up its urban centres. Drayton has seen a lot of expansion in recent years as it is a short commute to Waterloo Region and Guelph. The homes and land here are very sought after by potential buyers. Drayton is also home to the famous Drayton Festival Theatre.
